Transient Luminous Events - Digital Dowload

This Grade 3 work for Concert Band contains many interesting timbre combinations.  It was composed as a sonic representation of what is sometimes called upper atmospheric lightning or ionospheric lightning, Transient Luminous Events (TLEs), which are short-lived electrical-breakdown phenomena/electrically induced forms of luminous plasma, that occur well above the altitudes of normal lightning and Cumulonimbus clouds. Different types of TLEs include Sprites, Halos, Blue Jets, Gigantic Jets, and ELVES.
